Handmade Fronds Folklore between Art and Functionality as a Proposal for Minor Project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: Vision 2030

يتناول البحث الحرف اليدوية ومدى أهميتها في الصناعات العربية عامة والمملكة العربية السعودية خاصة، وتناول زراعة النخيل إذ إنها ذات أهمية خاصة ليس فقط مصدرا للغذاء، ولكن لارتباطها بعادات وتقاليد وقيم اجتماعية توارثتها الأجيال، لذا أرادت الباحثة الإفادة من سعف النخيل في تقديم مقترح لمنتج مبتكر يجمع بين الفن والوظيفة من المشروع الصغير. وتناول تعريف المشروعات الصغيرة التي تساعد على تنمية المملكة اقتصادياً واجتماعياً وتوضيحها وفق رؤية 2030، وأيضا توضيح مفهوم التصميم للعمل الفني من الجانبين الوظيفي والجمالي. وتلخصت مشكلة البحث في كيفية الإفادة من سعف النخيل في تقديم مقترح لمشغولة فنية مبتكرة وخاصة في مجال الاشغال الفنية من تصميم يجمع بين الجانب الفني والجانب الوظيفي ويصلح مقترحا لمنتج مشروع صغير يزيد من دخل الأسرة السعودية وفقاً لرؤية المملكة 2030.ويهدف البحث أيضا إلى مقترح لمشغولة تراثية مبتكرة بالإفادة من سعف النخيل، والجمع بين الجانب الفني والجانب الوظيفي للمشغولة الفنية السعفية المبتكرة.، وأيضا مقترح مشغولة سعفية تراثية لمشروع صغير للأٌسرة السعودية في ظل رؤية 2030.يتبع البحث المنهج الوصفي للجانب النظري والتحليلي لدراسة المشغولات للأفكار المقترحة. ومن نتائج البحث أن خامة السعف خامة مرنه للتشكيل يمكن عبرها ابتكار صياغات تشكيلية متعددة، وهناك سوق محلي يمكن إدراج المشغولة المبتكرة فيه منافسا، ويمكن الجمع بين الجانب الفني والجانب الوظيفي للمشغولة السعفية. ومن توصيات البحث إجراء تجارب متعددة للتوليف مع خامة السعف ودراسة السوق للتوسع في الربط بين مجالي الأشغال الفنية والمشاريع الصغيرة.The research addresses handicrafts and their importance in Arab industries in general and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular. It is dealing with palm cultivation, as it is of special importance not only as a source of food, but also because it is linked to customs, traditions, and social values that have been passed down through generations. Therefore, the researcher wanted to benefit from palm fronds in presenting a proposal for an innovative product that combines art and function from a small project, and to address the definition of small projects that help develop the Kingdom economically and socially, and clarify them in accordance with Vision 2030. Also clarifying the concept of design for a work of art from both the functional and aesthetic aspects. The research problem was summarized in how to benefit from palm fronds in presenting a proposal for an innovative work of art, especially in the field of work of art, with a design that combines the artistic side and the functional side. It is a proposal for a small project product that increases Saudi family income in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The research also aims to propose a proposal for an innovative heritage handicraft that makes use of palm fronds, and combines the artistic and functional aspects of the innovative palm frond handicraft, and also a proposal for a heritage palm frond handicraft for a small project for a Saudi family in light of Vision 2030. The research follows the descriptive approach to the theoretical and analytical side of studying the artifacts of the proposed ideas. One of the results of the research is that the palm frond material is a flexible material for shaping, through which multiple plastic formulations can be created. There is a local market in which the innovative handicraft can be competitively listed, and the artistic side and the functional side of the frond handicraft can be combined. One of the research recommendations is to conduct multiple experiments on synthesis with the frond material and to study the market to expand the link between the fields of artistic works and small projects

Content Analysis of the Social Studies Textbooks for the Intermediate Stage in Iraq and Kuwait in Light of the Dimensions of Sustainable Development: A Comparative Study

هدف البحث إلى التعرف على مستوى تضمين كتاب الاجتماعيات للمرحلة المتوسطة في العراق والكويت لأبعاد التنمية المستدامة، التي تتضمن كل من البعد (الاجتماعي، والبيئي، والاقتصادي). واستخدمت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي التحليلي، بأسلوب تحليل المحتوى، لأبعاد التنمية المستدامة، وقد بلغ مجموع الفقرات للأبعاد الثلاثة (23) فقرة. وأظهرت نتائج البحث لتحليل المحتوى أن مستوى تضمين أبعاد التنمية المستدامة (البعد الاجتماعي، والبيئي، والاقتصادي)، في كتاب الاجتماعيات للصف الثالث للمرحلة المتوسطة في العراق، إذ جاء البعد الاجتماعي بنسبة (51.6%) وكان البعد البيئي بنسبة (32.2%)، بينما كان البعد الاقتصادي بنسبة (16.2 %). في حين أظهرت نتائج البحث أن مستوى تضمين أبعاد التنمية المستدامة (البعد الاجتماعي، والبيئي، والاقتصادي)، في كتاب الاجتماعيات للصف التاسع للمرحلة المتوسطة في الكويت، قد جاء البعد الاجتماعي بنسبة (41.3 %)، وكان البعد البيئي بنسبة (35.8%)، بينما كان البعد الاقتصادي بنسبة (22.9%)، وقدم الباحثان مجموعة من التوصيات، منها: إعادة النظر في منهاج الاجتماعيات والعمل على تضمين أبعاد التنمية المستدامة بشكل متوازن ومتناسق في محتواها.The study aimed to identify the level of inclusion of the dimensions of sustainable development in the sociology book for the intermediate stage in Kuwait and Iraq, which includes each dimension (social-environmental-economic). The study used the analytical descriptive approach, using the content analysis method, for the dimensions of sustainable development, and the total number of paragraphs for the three dimensions was (23) paragraphs. The results of the study for content analysis showed that the level of inclusion of the dimensions of sustainable development (the social, environmental, and economic dimensions) in the social studies textbook for the ninth grade of the intermediate stage in Kuwait, the social dimension came at a rate of (41.3%), and the environmental dimension was at a rate of (35.8%). , while the economic dimension was (22.9%). While the results of the study showed that the level of inclusion of the dimensions of sustainable development (the social-environmental-economic dimension), In the social studies book for the third grade of the intermediate stage in Iraq, where the social dimension came at a rate of (51.6%) and the environmental dimension at a rate of (32.2%), while the economic dimension was at a rate of (16.2%). The two researchers presented a set of recommendations, including: Reconsidering the social studies curriculum and working to include the dimensions of sustainable development in a balanced and consistent manner in its content

Descriptive Statistics in the Field Study of Bread Demand in Sulaimani

Background: As it is clear, bread is the main food of the majority of the plates of food component, in a way that affects the desires and desires of food and even its business and movements. For the same reason, we did a survey among civilized the people of Sulaimani, whether they eat and buy more bread and are acceptable to them (wheat or barley). Materials and Methods:  Focusing on the basics and framework of kind the facts of descriptive statistics from some details on the quantitative and qualitative data in the applications. Frequency distributions and Charts are plotted of the results with SPSS program. Results: According to frequencies, at most 54% of males were aged between 20 and over from extended families prefer 1 - 2 pieces of wheat bread can have in their meals daily. Conclusion: The suitable practice of descriptive statistics allows economic ministry managers to additional efficiently balance and control of economics strategies and plans. Note that these result gives further information about economic future policy

The Association between Global DNA Methylation and BMI: A Possible Prospective Contributor for Retinopathy Iraqi Patients

Background: Retinopathy is a major T2DM complication that still to be a worldwide cause of curable and avoidable vision loss. Materials and Methods: The current study protocol included study the impact of BMI on some glycemic control markers (fasting blood glucose (FBG), glycated hemoglobin (HbA1C), insulin, insulin sensitivity (IS)and insulin resistance (IR)) and some oxidative stress markers (reactive oxygen species (ROS), total antioxidant, capacity (TAC), and oxidative stress index (OSI). Also, the present study included an important epigenetic parameter: the global DNA methylation.  Results: Patients were divided into four BMI categories: (normal, overweight, obesity and over obesity), the highest percent for both patients were within obesity group.  The highest levels of FBG were in obesity and morbid obesity in both retinopathy and T2DM. Highest levels of HbA1C in Morbid obesity were compared with other BMI groups in T2DM only. Insulin and IR showed a significant raise in obesity and morbid obesity in retinopathy and T2DM. IS significantly decreased in morbid obesity compared with others. Methylation analysis revealed that patients with diabetes (T2DM and retinopathy) had a significantly increase in levels of 5mC% compared healthy subjects. Also, a significant increase was recorded in retinopathy compared with T2DM. In all of the studied groups, the correlation analysis found a significant positive association between BMI and 5mC %.   Conclusion: The positive correlation between BMI and DNA methylation can lead to adverse effects for diabetes patients, which may lead to the progression of retinopathy

Lexical Relations in Fourth Preparatory School English Textbook

تهتم هذه الدراسة بتحليل العلاقات المعجمية في كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية للصف الرابع الإعدادي وتهدف الدراسة إلى إيجاد النوع الأكثر تكرارا من العلاقات المعجمية التي توجد في كتاب اللغة الإنجليزية للصف الرابع الإعدادي، وقد قامت الباحثة بتكوين أداة لتحليل محتوى الكتاب واستخدمت نهج التحليل النوعي للحصول على النتائج، وقد أظهرت نتائج البحث النسب الأعلى والأدنى لهذه العلاقات المعجمية.The research focuses on analyzing lexical relations in the Fourth Preparatory School English Textbook. The aim of the study is to find out the most frequent type of the most common lexical relations that are found in the Fourth Preparatory School English Textbook. The researchers adopt Finch(2000) model to serve as the analytical tool to get appropriate conclusions from the analytical data, and a qualitative method of analysis is used. The results of the study show the highest and lowest percentages of these relations. &nbsp

PTSD as a Healing Disorder in Alice Walker’s The Color Purple

To this end, the researcher delves into the positive effects that post-traumatic stress disorder has had on the characters depicted in the aforementioned novel. It highlights that recovery and rehabilitation have been achieved with the aid of PTSD. PTSD, as a type of traumatic illness, studies the way people feel during and after traumatic events. Needless to say, Alice Walker is known for her unprecedentedly insightful portrayal of the lives and cultures of African-American women. Her unprecedented presentation of the epistolary form in the aforementioned novel is designed to achieve numerous purposes. In this novel, letter writing is Celie\u27s only means to challenge the patriarchy, to assert her identity, and finally to gain self-acceptance. The researcher touches upon the role of post-traumatic stress disorder in writing letters until the end, which leads to rehabilitation objectives. By defining the concept of PTSD as the cornerstone of this paper, the following inquiries are posited: (a) how PTSD makes Celie a warrior woman, and (b) what role PTSD plays as a stimulant in Celie\u27s letter writing. To shed light on the role of PTSD during the healing process, this paper meticulously investigates the various types of traumatic events, including rape, abuse, and traumatic domestic violence, experienced by some of the characters in the novel. &nbsp

Efficacy of Video Electroencephalography in the Classification of Epilepsy

Background: Epilepsy is common neurological disease that affect people of all ages, genders, ethnic backgrounds, and cultures, regardless of their geographical location. It is also considered the second cause of neurological diseases in the world. This study aims to study the usefulness of video electroencephalography recording in the classification of patients with epilepsy according to ictal and interictal findings supplemented with clinical history and detailed description of the event. Materials and methods: The study was a cross sectional study conducted in the period between September 2022 until April 2023 conducted in neurology ward/ video EEG room in Al-Sadeq teaching hospital in Al-Hillah city. It’s included 47 patients. Patients are recruited from video electroencephalographic room in neurology ward after being diagnosed to have epilepsy by experienced neurologist. The diagnosis of epilepsy by the neurologist depends on clinical history including detailed history of the ictal event by the patient, his family supported by analysis of video recording of the ictal event, imaging studies if needed and finally by ordinary electroencephalogram examination done at the hospital for 20-30 minutes. The diagnosis and classification were based on the latest reports of international league against epilepsy. Results: The study results showed the percent of patients who had interictal discharges through electroencephalography recording 91.48%, and 10.5% of patients had ictal state throughout recording. The classification of seizure subtype according international league against epilepsy-2017 was 11 patient classified as focal onset seizure and 36 of them had generalized onset. Also video electroencephalogram results in altering the initial classification of epilepsy in 57.45% of patients. Conclusion: Video electroencephalography is a powerful tool in the classification of epileptic syndromes

Determination of The Optimal Groundwater Recharge Regions in The Eastern Part of Nineveh

Background: The process of groundwater recharge is considered as one of the most important processes for the management of water resources, both surface and groundwater. Materials and Methods: The current study uses the application of the Analytical Hierarchical Process (AHP) model in geospatial analysis to delineate potential areas for groundwater recharge. The foundations of this model were laid by Saaty. The analytical method was used to calculate the natural weight of the factors individually, according to the size of the groundwater recharge potential. Each factor within the GIS environment was reclassified according to the AHP technique. Results: The results show that in large regions of the study area, about 38.7% have poor to very poor recharge potential, 29.3% of the area is moderate, 19.5% of the area has good recharge potential, and the remaining area (12.3%) has very good potential for groundwater recharge. The soil factor showed that it was the most influential factor in the delineation of groundwater recharge areas for the study area. Conclusion: The potential zones of very good and good groundwater occupy 312.67 and 495.70 km2, respectively, which are 12.3% and 19.5% of the study area. It appears from the map of groundwater potential zones that the areas of good and very good recharge are mostly prominent in the sedimentary plains with low slopes and high drainage density. Also, a small part of it appears in the mountainous areas, which represent the main recharge areas for the falling rainwater

A Lexical Study of Ta’iyat Di’bil Al-Khuza’i: Place as a Model

كثرت الأغراض الشعرية التي تناولها الشاعر دعبل الخزاعي، فكان للرثاء نصيب كبير منها، وظهر الرثاء بأجلى صورة عند دعبل الخزاعي في تائيته المشهورة، فجاءت القصيدة التائية استعراضا للوقائع التي مرت على أهل البيت (عليهم السلام)، إذ عرضها الشاعر على مسمع الإمام الرضا (عليه السلام)، فجاءت القصيدة بألفاظ ومفردات تعبر عن غرض القصيدة، وارتأيت الحديث عن أهم الألفاظ وبيان معناها المعجمي وأثرها في رسم صورة الرثاء، وخصصتُ ألفاظ المكان بالذكر، إذ كان للمكان صور مختلفة ومتعددة، وإشغال المكان مساحة بارزة في القصيدة.  وقد ربط الشاعر الأماكن بأصحابها؛ برثاء الأمة وانتشار مراقدهم (عليهم السلام) بمختلف البلدان، فبعض الأسماء مر عليها الزمن وسميت بمسميات مختلفة، فجاء هذا البحث لبيان هذه الأماكن وعلاقتها بقصيدة الشاعر.There were many poetic purposes dealt with by the poet Da’bal Al-Khuza’i, so lamentation had a great share of it, and lamentation appeared in the clearest form when Da’bal Al-Khuza’i in his famous Ta’i, so the Ta’ poem came as a review of the facts that passed on the people of the House (peace be upon them), as the poet presented it to the hearing of Imam Reza (peace be upon him).), so the poem came with words and vocabulary that express the purpose of the poem, and I decided to talk about the most important words and explain their lexical meaning and their role in drawing an image of lamentation, and I allocated the words of the place to mention, if the place has different and multiple images, and the place occupies a prominent space in the poem And we find the poet has linked the places to their owners; This is due to the imams’ lamentation and the spread of their shrines (peace be upon them) in various countries. Some names have passed through time and were called by different names. This research came to clarify these places and their relationship to the poet’s poem

Copper |Oxide (Cu_2 O) Sheet Based Solar Cell

Background: Copper oxide  is a potential material for the fabrication of low cost solar cells for terrestrial application. It is one of the earliest semiconductor materials investigated for solar cells in the early century. Copper oxide exists in forms of  with a certain band gap, which is at room temperature.  A copper sheet has been used to create a solar cell that would use the sun\u27s energy to produce electricity. The copper oxide is an ancient solar cell that converts sunlight into current in which a photon is turned into an electric signal, it is known as photovoltaic. Photovoltaic cell is an electrical device that converts the energy of light directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect.  Materials and Methods: We conducted our experiment using pure water first, followed by salt water, and compared the outcomes. The salt (Nacl) solution was added to water, the solution acts as an electrolyte. We found that salt water was a superior electrolyte after analyzing the data. Results: As a result, we utilized a sodium chloride (Nacl) solution as the cell\u27s salt water electrolyte. On the other hand, differing electrolyte concentrations and light intensity were significant considerations that both demonstrated their own roles in solar cell. Conclusion: This project\u27s purpose was to produce alternate solar cells made from cheap materials and easiest designed that could serve as a model for a new solar cell.
