Classification of Betel Leaf Diseases Based on Convolutional Neural Network to Increase Production Herbal Spice Materials
Traditional medicine is the practice of utilizing medicinal plants to treat various illnesses, passed down from generation to generation. In Indonesia, there are various traditional medicines, one of which is using green betel leaves. One part of the green betel plant that is commonly attacked by pests is the leaf. The Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) method is a very common method used for image classification because this method produces the highest accuracy in classification and pattern recognition. This research uses data totaling 4000 images which are divided into four classes: healthy green betel leaves, anthracnose green betel leaves, bacterial spot betel leaves, and healthy red betel leaves. Detecting the disease type facilitates farmers in acknowledging the necessary measures required to provide treatment. Therefore, this study utilizes the benefits of the CNN approach, specifically its capability to conduct precise object detection and classification in image data, to minimize the widespread of disease. The CNN architectures implemented are DenseNet201, EfficientNetB3V2, InceptionResNetV2, MobileNetV2 and XceptionResnet50V2. Based on our research, the InceptionResNetV2 model achieved the highest performance with an accuracy of 86.0%, loss of 0.3880, and ROC of 98.0%. In the other hand, the MobileNetV2 and EfficientNetV2B3 models suffered from overfitting and underfitting and the models failed to classify betel leaf diseases
CORE Model in Improving Students' Mathematical Representation Ability Based on Cognitive Style
This studynalyzes the effects of the CORE learning model on the mathematical representation abilities of junior high school students based on Field Independent (FI) and Field Dependent (FD) cognitive styles. Using a quasi-experimental methodology, this study involved 68 eighth-grade students from SMPN 169 Jakarta, divided into an experimental group using the CORE model and a control group with conventional learning. Study instruments included GEFT and mathematical representation ability tests. ANOVA analysis results indicate significant differences (F=48.655; p<0.05) between these groups, with the highest mean values in the FD experimental group (8.53), followed by the FI experimental group (7.84), FD control group (6.31), and FI control group (4.44). This study proves that the CORE learning model provides a significant effects in improving students' mathematical representation abilities, especially when combined with their cognitive styles
Penerapan Metode Weigthed Product (WP) dalam Sistem Pendukung Keputusan Pemilihan Benih Ikan Nila Terbaik
This study aims to understand the selection of the best quality Nile tilapia seeds using a Decision Support System (DSS) with the Weighted Product (WP) method at Tambak Nagari. The research employed two approaches: manual calculations and a system based on Visual Basic.NET. The results showed that the Visual Basic.NET-based system significantly facilitates decision-making, accelerates the process, and minimizes human error compared to manual methods. This system enables users to easily identify the best Nile tilapia seeds based on criteria such as growth rate, disease resistance, and feed efficiency. However, the system requires regular updates to enhance its reliability and flexibility, particularly in handling large-scale data and adding new criteria. The integration of this technology makes the seed selection process more efficient and objective, supporting the sustainability of Nila Fish farming and marking an important step toward digital transformation in the fisheries sector
Dampak Xenomania Bahasa terhadap Bisnis Kuliner di Delapan Destinasi Wisata di Daerah Sekitar Tapal Kuda Jawa Timur
Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena xenomania bahasa, khususnya dalam penggunaan bahasa asing, seperti bahasa Inggris, pada menu restoran di wilayah Tapal Kuda, Jawa Timur, Indonesia. Xenomania bahasa merupakan praktik yang diadopsi oleh banyak bisnis kuliner untuk menarik wisatawan internasional dengan menawarkan pengalaman kuliner yang mudah diakses dan lebih modern. Penelitian ini berfokus pada bagaimana keterbacaan menu yang diterjemahkan memengaruhi preferensi wisatawan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif, dengan data yang dikumpulkan melalui survei yang mengevaluasi keterbacaan menu dan pilihan makanan wisatawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya korelasi positif yang signifikan antara keterbacaan tinggi dan preferensi pelanggan, terutama dalam kategori minuman dan makanan berat. Dengan menyediakan menu yang jelas dan mudah dipahami, meskipun menggunakan kata-kata asing, restoran meningkatkan kemungkinan pelanggan memilih item tersebut. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya strategi penerjemahan dalam meningkatkan daya saing restoran di destinasi wisata.
Abstract
This study examines the phenomenon of linguistic xenomania, particularly the use of foreign languages like English on restaurant menus in the Tapal Kuda area of East Java, Indonesia. Many culinary businesses adopt this practice to appeal to international tourists by providing accessible and modern dining experiences. The research focuses on the impact of menu readability on tourist preferences. Using a qualitative descriptive method, data was gathered through surveys assessing the clarity of menu items and the resulting food choices made by tourists. The results show a strong positive link between clear, readable menus and customer preferences, especially for drinks and main dishes. Even with foreign language elements, menus that are easy to understand increase the likelihood of customers choosing those items. This study highlights the crucial role of translation strategies in improving the competitiveness of restaurants in tourist destinations.

This study investigates students' misconceptions about linear equations and inequalities of one variable. Using a descriptive quantitative approach, data were collected from 160 seventh-grade students in Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi, through a four-tier diagnostic test. Analysis revealed that 28% of students had misconceptions, categorized into six types. Additionally, 11% showed false positives, 12% false negatives, 44% lacked knowledge, and only 5% had a correct scientific understanding. The identified six types of misconceptions included fundamental algebraic concepts such as variable degree, variable concepts, coefficients, constants, and inequality notation. Students struggled with algorithm use, function generalization, and properties of inequalities, indicating a lack of algebraic thinking. Pengelolaan Hubungan Masyarakat dalam Membangun Komunikasi Aktif kepada Masyarakat di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Muttaqin Pekanbaru
Penelitian ini merupakan kajian tentang pengelolaan hubungan masyarakat (Humas) dalam membangun komunikasi aktif kepada masyarakat. Adapun pertanyaan penelitian ini adalah bagaimana pengelolaan Humas dalam membangun komunikasi aktif kepada masyarakat di MTs Al-Muttaqin Pekanbaru, dan bagaimana kendala yang dihadapi dalam pengelolaan Humas untuk membangun komunikasi aktif kepada Masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pengelolaan Humas dalam membangun komunikasi aktif kepada masyarakat, serta mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kendala-kendala yang dihadapi dalam pengelolaan tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan Humas di MTs Al-Muttaqin Pekanbaru melibatkan serangkaian kegiatan, yaitu perencanaan, implementasi yang menekankan pada kontrol pesan dan konten, analisis responss masyarakat, analisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat, serta mengevaluasi. Hasil evaluasi digunakan untuk membuat keputusan dan melakukan pengelolaan berkelanjutan, menciptakan siklus pembelajaran efektif. Meskipun menghadapi berbagai faktor penghambat, fokus utama tetap pada peningkatan komunikasi aktif kepada masyarakat, dengan tingkat keberhasilan yang secara signifikan lebih tinggi daripada tingkat kegagalan. Sementara, kendala utama melibatkan faktor-faktor penghambat seperti misskomunikasi, kesalahan pengertian, perbedaan pemahaman, pengaruh psikologis, kecerdasan dan ilmu pengetahuan, penggunaan bahasa tubuh yang kurang teratur, dialek dan logat, serta ketidakjelasan dalam nada, ritme, dan artikulasi saat berbicara.
This research is a study of public relations management in building active communication with the community. The research questions for this research are: how is the management of public relations in building active communication with the community at Islamic Junior High School of Al-Muttaqin Pekanbaru, and what are the obstacles faced in managing public relations to build active communication to the community. This research aimed at describing the process of managing public relations in building active communication with the community, and finding out the obstacles faced in this management. It was qualitative research with a descriptive approach, and data were obtained through in-depth interviews. The research findings showed that public relations management at Islamic Junior High School of Al-Muttaqin Pekanbaru involved a series of activities, namely planning, implementation emphasizing message and content control, analysis of community responsses, analysis of supporting and obstructing factors, and evaluation. Evaluation results were used to make decisions, carry out sustainable management, and create an effective learning cycle. Despite facing various obstructing factors, the main focus was on increasing active communication to the community, with the success level was significantly higher than the failure level. Meanwhile, the main obstacles involved obstructing factors such as miscommunication, misunderstandings, differences in understanding, psychological influence, intelligence and knowledge, irregular use of body language, dialect and accent, unclear tone, rhythm, and articulation when speaking.Penelitian ini merupakan kajian tentang pengelolaan hubungan masyarakat (Humas) dalam membangun komunikasi aktif kepada masyarakat. Innovation in Creative Writing Skills for Mathematics Textbooks Using the Design Thinking Method
The need for learning tools that can be mastered by prospective teacher students in the School Field Experience Program (PLP) 2 requires fifth-semester students to develop the ability to design appropriate and effective learning materials. Mathematics textbooks are among the essential tools that must be created for PLP 2, making it necessary to guide students in writing textbooks through a dedicated course. This has led to an innovation in creative writing skills for mathematics textbooks using the design thinking method, which consists of five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The results of this research include the physical development of school mathematics textbooks for middle and high school levels. Testing of the resulting products has placed them in the "very good" category, indicating their suitability for use as learning materials to support PLP 2 activities
Inovasi Kepemimpinan dalam Membangun Organisasi yang Adaptif: Studi Kasus Transformasi di Pengurus Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo
Penelitian ini menggambarkan peran inovasi kepemimpinan dalam mentransformasi Pengurus Cabang Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo menjadi organisasi yang lebih adaptif. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini menganalisis dampak inovasi kepemimpinan terhadap transformasi organisasi. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan inovasi kepemimpinan, termasuk penerapan strategi baru dan pengembangan keterampilan kepemimpinan, secara signifikan mempercepat proses adaptasi organisasi terhadap perubahan eksternal. Inovasi kepemimpinan dalam konteks Pengurus Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo tidak hanya melibatkan pengenalan teknologi dan metode kerja baru tetapi juga mencakup perubahan budaya organisasi. Temuan ini konsisten dengan teori kepemimpinan modern, yang menekankan pentingnya transformasi budaya untuk mencapai kemampuan beradaptasi yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang bagaimana inovasi kepemimpinan dapat menjadi penting dalam mengatasi tantangan kontemporer, khususnya di bidang organisasi keagamaan. This research delineates the role of leadership innovation in transforming the Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Board in Sidoarjo into a more adaptive organization. Employing qualitative methods, the study analyzes the impact of leadership innovation on organizational transformation. The results indicate that the adoption of leadership innovation, including the implementation of new strategies and the development of leadership skills, significantly expedites the organizational adaptation process to external changes. Leadership innovation in the context of the Management Board of Nahdlatul Ulama Sidoarjo not only involves the introduction of new technologies and working methods but also entails a change in organizational culture. These findings are consistent with modern leadership theories, emphasizing the importance of cultural transformation to achieve sustainable adaptability. This research provides profound insights into how leadership innovation can be pivotal in addressing contemporary challenges, particularly in the realm of religious organizations. Meningkatnya kesadaran dan semakin kritisnya peran keterlibatan orang tua dan masyarakat dalam proses pendidikan menunjukkan pentingnya membangun budaya mutu yang melibatkan semua pihak terkait, sehingga lembaga pendidikan perlu meningkatkan budaya mutu pendidikan. Budaya mutu merupakan sistem nilai organisasi yang menghasilkan lingkungan yang kondusif bagi kelangsungan dan kelangsungan peningkatan mutu. Budaya mutu terdiri dari nilai, tradisi, prosedur, dan harapan mengenai promosi mutu. Dalam penelitian ini metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur, di mana peneliti memperoleh hasil kajian mendalam mengenai perubahan dan perkembangan budaya mutu dalam pendidikan. Perubahan dan perkembangan kualitas yang diinginkan diawali dengan perubahan yang berarti transformasi dari keadaan saat ini menuju keadaan yang diharapkan di masa yang akan datang. Ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi budaya mutu pada lembaga pendidikan yang meliputi nilai dan misi sekolah/madrasah; struktur organisasi, komunikasi, pengambilan keputusan, lingkungan kerja, rekrutmen dan seleksi, perencanaan kurikulum, pengelolaan sumber daya dan anggaran, kedisiplinan, serta hubungan masyarakat kualitas suatu sekolah juga dapat dilihat dari tertib administrasinya. Salah satu bentuk tertib administrasi adalah adanya mekanisme kerja yang efektif dan efisien, baik secara vertikal maupun horizontal.
The increasing awareness and increasingly critical role of parent and community involvement in the educational process shows the importance of building a quality culture that involves all related parties, so educational institutions need to improve the culture of educational quality. Quality culture is an organizational value system that produces a conducive environment for the continuity and continuity of quality improvement. Quality culture consists of values, traditions, procedures, and expectations regarding quality promotion. In this research, the method used is a literature study, where the researcher obtains the results of an in-depth study regarding changes and developments in quality culture in education. Changes and developments in the desired quality begin with change, which means transformation from the current state to the expected state in the future. There are several factors that influence the quality culture in educational institutions which include: school/madrasah values and mission, organizational structure, communication, decision making, work environment, recruitment and selection, curriculum planning, resource and budget management, discipline, community relations The quality of a school can also be seen from its orderly administration. APRS and SSTV Technology for Audiovisual Data Transmission in Internet Blank Spot Areas to Increase the Effectiveness of SAR Activities
Volcanic eruptions can be detected through several warning signs. The Indonesian National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) reported that between 2010 and 2021, Indonesia experienced 156 volcanic eruptions. The most recent occurred in 2021 when Mount Semeru erupted, forcing 10,395 people to evacuate, injuring 104, and causing 51 fatalities. The BNPB often experiences problems in carrying out mitigation, evacuation, rehabilitation, and reconstruction in disaster areas. On average, the search and evacuation process for victims takes about 3-7 days, so the probability of finding disaster victims is only about 50%. The proposed solution is a combination of radio transmission with Auto Packet Reporting System (APRS) technology as a medium for determining evacuation locations and Slow-Scan Television (SSTV) as a medium for transmitting audio and images of disaster sites, called Radio All-in-One (RAIONE). Using the Prototype method, this research has been tested for about 7 months with continuous improvements. The results show that the maximum distance covered is approximately 20 km with a minimum central antenna height of 7-10 meters, which increases the time effectiveness of SAR operations. The probability of finding survivors in a disaster increases to 75%, and SAR operations speed up to 1-2 days because of acceleration in the determination of search and evacuation locations in the Blank Spot Areas, reaching 91.30%
