PENERAPAN LAYANAN KONSELING INDIVIDUAL DENGAN TEKNIK SELF INSTRUCTION UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEPERCAYAAN DIRI SISWA KELAS VII MTS AL-MANAAR PULU RAJA
Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penerapan layanan konseling individual dengan teknik self instruction untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VII Mts Al-Manaar Pulu Raja tahun pembelajaran 2022/2023. Subjek didalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII Mts Al-Manaar Pulu Raja yang berjumlah 4 orang dan mengalami masalah yang memiliki kepercayaan diri yang rendah. Untuk memperoleh data dan informasi dalam penelitian ini maka dilakukan observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisi data yang digunakan ialah reduksi data, penyajian data, kesimpulan. Penerapan layanan konseling individual dengan self instruction pada siswa kelas VII Mts Al-Manaar Pulu Raja ternyata berhasil secara efektif naik secara signifikan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dengan adanya perubahan pada diri siswa dalam kondisi kepercayaan diri siswa
THE INFLUENCE OF INFORMATION SERVICES TO IMPROVE THE EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE OF CLASS X STUDENTS AT TAMANSISWA VOCATIONAL SCHOOL MEDAN
This research aims to determine the effect of Information Services to Increase the Emotional Intelligence of Class X Students at SMK Tamansiswa Medan for the 2023/2024 Academic Year." This type of research uses quantitative experimental methods, namely one group pretest and posttest design. The subject of this research is class n-k = 23-1= 22 then from the t table we get t = 2.074. Thus tcount>ttable on emotional intelligence is 0.000 <0.05 so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. "It can be concluded that there is an influence of Information Services to Increase the Emotional Intelligence of Class X Students at SMK Tamansiswa Medan
An analysis of digital literacy skills of high school students in biology
Digital literacy is a crucial skill for understanding information from various sources, such as the use of the internet and other digital media as a learning resource. Navigating the internet is an important skill to master to keep updated with the development of information and communication technology in the era of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and to master one of the 21st-century skills. Skills that someone should have in digital literacy include internet searching, hypertextual navigation, evaluating information, and synthesizing information. This study aims to determine the digital literacy skills of tenth-grade high school students in biology class. The research method follows the quantitative descriptive method. The population and sample were 62 tenth-grade high school students. The data collection technique is in the form of questionnaires focusing on four aspects of digital literacy. The results indicate that the digital literacy of tenth-grade high school students with an average score of 44% is in the fair category. Meanwhile, the results for each aspect of the digital literacy indicator obtained different scores, namely internet searching at 47% (fair), hypertext navigation at 27% (fair), evaluating information at 40.32% (fair), and synthesizing information at 60.48% (good). This research suggests how stakeholders can issue policies as a basis for improving students' digital literacy to support the learning process focusing more on 21st-century skills
LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI ANTAR PRIBADI SISWA KELAS X SMA NEGERI 1 PERCUT SEI TUAN
Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan, Jalan Irian Barat, Desa Sampali No 37, Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Adapun yang menjadi masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana layanan bimbingan kelompok untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi antar pribadi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Percut Sei Tuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui layanan bimbingan kelompok dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi antar pribadi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri Percut Sei Tuan. Yang menjadi subjek penelitian ini adalah peneliti bekerja sama dengan guru BK. Dan yang menjadi objek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X sebanyak 8 siswa yang memiliki kriteria permasalahan terkait komunikasi antar pribadi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan layanan yang menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun instrumen pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan interpretasi data yang peneliti lakukan dapat disimpulkan: Layanan bimbingan kelompok adalah solusi yang tepat untuk menangani masalah komunikasi antar pribadi. Karena mengingat masalah tersebut menuntut berkembangnya kemampuan sosialisasi siswa, dan layanan yang tepat untuk permasalahan tersebut adalah layanan bimbingan kelompok.
Learning growth and development of living things topic: An analysis of students’ interest at a private middle school in Labuhanbatu district
Students’ engagement and curiosity in learning Biology is suboptimal, hence innovative teaching methods are required to cultivate their interest and enhance their understanding of the subject matter. The research aims to identify differences in students’ interest in learning Biology across grades VII, VIII, and IX, based on gender and other indicators. The study analyzes the variations in students’ interest in the growth and development of living creatures at Bulu Tolang Adventist Private Middle School, Labuhanbatu Regency. The research population comprises all students at the school, with a research sample of 64 students using total sampling techniques. The study employed a quantitative descriptive research method and used a questionnaire of 20 statements calculated using a Likert scale. The data analysis involved descriptive description of the average percentage of students’ interest in learning. The research results revealed that: (1) Grade VII students’ interest in learning was categorized as high (65.62%), Grade VIII high (62.69%) and Grade IX medium (51.60%); (2) Students’ interest in learning based on gender showed that males were in the medium category (54.28%) in paying attention to lessons, while females were higher (65.23%); and (3) Student interest in learning based on indicators, namely feelings of enjoyment in participating in learning amounting to (59.68%), attention (58.99%), interest (57.43%), and student involvement (60.11%). The study concludes that Grade VIII students exhibit higher interest in learning Biology than their Grade VII and IX counterparts. Based on gender, female students demonstrate greater interest in learning than male students. The study also indicates that students’ feelings of joy, attention, interest, and involvement are in the medium category. Factors that influence the level of student learning include the family environment, motivation, and interest in learning. Innovative teaching methods can help support students’ higher interest in learning, including interest and feelings of enjoyment in learning
IMPROVING STUDENTS’ VOCABULARY MASTERY THROUGH THE UTILIZATION OF QUIZLET APPLICATION AT THE TENTH GRADE OF MAS IBADURRAHMAN IN 2020/2021 ACADEMIC YEAR
Vocabulary as one aspect of language skills is considered to have a paramount role on the mastery of other language skill in language learning. Therefore, to improve students’ vocabulary mastery a myriad of studies have employed MALL as an approach in clasroom practices, particulary for English language teaching (ELT). This study aimed to investigate how to use of digital game application called Quizlet affected students’ vocabulary mastery. This study was conducted at the Tenth grade class of MAS Ibadurrahman with 33 students as the participants. Classroom action research with two cycles was used as the research design. In each cycle, the researcher collected both qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data were taken through observation checklist, diary notes, interview, and documentation while the quantitative one from pre- test, post-test I and post-test II. The result of qualitative data revealed that: 1) students enjoyed and actively participated in vocabulary learning utilizing Quizlet application; 2) students felt more interested and motivated to learn vocabulary mastery. Whereas the result of quantitative data showed that in cycle I, there was 9 students reaching the Minimum Criteria of KKM score with the average score of 62.2 while the percentage was 27.2%. In cycle II, 29 students reached the Minimum Criteria of KKM score with the average score of 85.6 while the percentage was 87.8%. Eventually, it can be concluded from the students’ scores that there was improvement from cycle I to cycle II, thus vocabulary learning activities utilizing Quizlet application was effective
Canva-assisted biotechnology module based on Marsialap Ari’s local wisdom: The endeavor to improve students' creativity skills
The basis of this research is that the teaching materials created by teachers in the Southern Tapanuli area have not incorporated many models based on local wisdom such as Dalihan Natolu and Marsialap ari. These teaching materials can be utilized to evoke students’ cultural values, character, and creativity. Efforts to enhance student creativity in biotechnology learning still need to be implemented, as the learning process is too fast and students’ understanding is still lacking. This research aims to determine whether the module developed is suitable for use as Biotechnology teaching material in high school based on the BNSP assessment criteria. Additionally, it aims to observe the effectiveness of students using a biology module based on local wisdom (Marsialap ari) assisted by the Canva application on biotechnology material as teaching material in learning for the tenth-grade students in SMA/MA majoring in science. This research is a 4D model development research with research procedures that include defining, designing, developing, and disseminating. The research results can be obtained from the data obtained from several validators, both quantitatively and qualitatively, using descriptive statistical analysis calculations. The module validity of 76.6 - 100% is categorized as valid criteria and LKPD content validity of 80 - 93% is categorized as valid criteria. The product of this research is a biotechnology teaching module based on the local wisdom of Marsialap ari for SMA/MA students. The effectiveness of the module was evaluated based on student performance, with an average of 95 categorized as effective and an average of 90.3 categorized as very creative. In conclusion, the Biotechnology module based on Marsialap ari, assisted by the Canva application, is declared valid for use in studying biology and can enhance students’ creativity in learning biology
Diversity and community structure of soil microarthrophods of several moorlands in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency, East Java
The effectiveness of soil microarthropods as a bioindicator was studied to evaluate various soils in the conditions of various lands, including moorland in Gumukmas District, Jember Regency. This study focuses on data collection of the diversity and structure of soil microarthropod communities along with the assessment of their ecological parameters. Field observations were carried out in five villages in Gumukmas District from August-September 2022 using the hand sorting method. The data were analyzed using α-diversity parameters (Dominance Index, Simpson Index, Evenness, Shannon-Weiner Index, Brillouin Index, and Margalef Species Richness). Habitat similarities were presented by UPGMA multivariate analysis and the estimation of abiotic factors that influence soil microarthropod composition was estimated by Canonical Component Analysis (CCA). The observations showed a total of 24 families from 13 soil microarthropod orders that spread across Gumukmas District. The abundance of diversity based on the α-diversity is still relatively low to moderate, nevertheless, the correlation of microarthropod orders to environmental factors can reveal conditions of the soil cycle through the study site. The results of the study are expected to assist in efforts to restore the diversity of soil microarthropods to support better soil quality
PENERAPAN TEKNIK ASSERTIVE TRAINING MELALUI BIMBINGAN KELOMPOK DALAM MENGANTISIPASI TERJADINYA PERILAKU BULLYING PADA SISWA SMP NEGERI 1 GALANG
Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dekskriptif kualitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengantisipasi terjadinya perilaku bullying melalui layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik Assertive Training. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 1 Galang. Objek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 8 siswa yang tidak mampu bersikap asertif ketika mendapatkan perilaku bullying. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah teknik proposive sampling (Random Sampling). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi,wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini di peroleh melalui emam kali proses pemberian layanan yang di berikan kepada responden, hasil akhir dari penelitian Penerapan Teknik Assertive Training Melalui Bimbingan Kelompok dapat dijadikan alternatif yang efektif dalam Mengantisipasi Terjadinya Perilaku Bullying Pada Siswa SMP Negeri 1 Galang
EFEKTIVITAS LAYANAN KONSELING INDIVIDU TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PENYESUAIAN DIRI SISWA KELAS X MAN 2 MODEL MEDAN
Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui dan meningkatkan kemampuan penyesuaian diri siswa. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah ex post facto. Peneliti menggunakan desain dengan dua kelompok yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kuesioner penyesuaian diri siswa digunakan untuk pengumpulan data. Dipilih 30 siswa dengan kemampuan penyesuaian diri rendah dari dua kelompok, lima belas siswa kelompok eksperimen dan lima belas siswa kelompok kontrol. Analisis data menggunakan Klomogrov-Smirnov. Hasil penelitian kemampuan penyesuaian diri siswa kelompok eksperimen meningkat signifikan 27,24%, sedangkan kelompok kontrol meningkat signifikan 21,45%. Penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penyesuaian diri siswa meningkat dengan adanya layanan konseling individual. Pemberian layanan ini dapat menunjukkan angka perubahan kemampuan penyesuaian diri siswa yang signifikan
