Outcomes and Challenges of Introducing RubricEvaluation Charts in Pediatric Nursing Practicum-Examination through group interviews with practicum instructors
本研究の目的は、小児看護学臨地実習におけるルーブリック評価表導入による成果と課題を実習指導教員のグループ・インタビューにより明らかにすることである。参加者は、小児看護学実習指導教員3人で年齢は30 代から50 代の女性であった。実習指導経験歴は11 年から18 年であった。実習指導教員が認識した成果は【ルーブリック評価表の活用により促進される臨床指導者との連携】、【頻回のフィードバックで積み上がる学習効果】の2カテゴリーがあげられた。また、課題は【評価項目の解釈と主観的評価で影響を受ける自己評価】、【実習内容で影響を受ける自己評価】の2カテゴリーがあげられた。ルーブリック評価表導入による成果はみられているが課題も明らかとなり、ルーブリック評価表の文言や内容表現には改善の余地があると考える。The purpose of this study was to clarify the outcomes and challenges of introducing a rubric evaluation chart in pediatric nursing practicum through group interviews with practicum instructors. The participants were three female pediatric nursing practicum instructors with ages ranging from 30s to 50s. Practical teaching experience ranged from 11 to 18 years. The two categories of outcomes recognized by the practicum instructors included ‘ collaboration with clinical instructors facilitated by the use of a rubric evaluation chart’ and ‘learning effects that accumulate through frequent feedbacks’. Furthermore, two categories of issues were also raised: ‘self-assessment affected by the interpretation of assessment items and subjective evaluation’ and ‘self-assessment affected by training content’ . Although the introduction of the rubric evaluation chart has produced positive results, some issues have become apparent, and we believe that there is room for improvement in the wording and content of the rubric evaluation chart.departmental bulletin pape

Inhibitory Activity of Onions on α-Glucosidase and Effects of Cooking Techniques on Its Activity
本研究では、タマネギ(Allium cepa)のα-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性を指標とした血糖値上昇抑制効果とその関与成分および各種調理操作による影響について検証した。タマネギの70%エタノール抽出濃縮物をシリカゲルカラムクロマトグラフィーで分画した複数の画分で強いα-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性が確認された。特に阻害活性の強い画分をHPLC 分析に供したところ、ケルセチン-3,4’-ジグルコシドおよびケルセチン-4’-O-βグルコシドの存在が確認され、両物質がα-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性に関与していることが示唆された。また、調理操作のうち、「水さらし」では5分から10 分経過までにα-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性と2種のケルセチン含量の有意な低下が確認された。その他の調理操作では、α-グルコシダーゼ阻害活性において有意差は認められなかった。これより、タマネギはα-グルコシダーゼ阻害を介した血糖値上昇抑制効果は期待できるが、特に調理操作では「水さらし」に留意する必要性が示された。This study examined whether ethanol extract of onions inhibit α-glucosidase activity, thereby affecting blood glucose level. It also identified the functional substances facilitating α-glucosidase inhibitory activities, along with various cooking techniques influencing the effect.
Consequently, strong α-glucose inhibitory activity was observed in multiple fractions obtained by silica gel column chromatography of onion extract with 70% ethanol. HPLC analysis of the fractions with particularly strong inhibitory activity revealed the presence of quercetin-3,4’-diglucoside and quercetin-4’-O-βglucoside, suggesting their involvement in α-glucosidase inhibitory activity.
Among various cooking techniques, water rinsing of onions for five to ten minutes showed significant decreases in α-glucosidase inhibitory activity and the volume of two quercetin compounds. With other cooking techniques, no significant difference was observed in the activity.
While onions can be expected to suppress a blood glucose levels through α-glucosidase inhibition, it is suggested that particular attention should be paid to water rinsing as part of cooking techniques.departmental bulletin pape
Adaptation to Aging among Middle-Aged Females in Employment
本研究の目的は、就労している中高年女性の加齢に対する適応を明らかにすることである。対象は、健康上の大きな問題がなく現在就労している56~70歳の女性5名とし、半構造化面接を実施した。複数事例研究法にて分析を行った。結果、就労している中高年女性は、自らの将来に不安を抱いていた。しかし、周囲の人の話も聞きながら変化していく自らの体を客観的にとらえることで、自分の体とうまく付き合い、心身を安定した状態に保とうとしていた。また、家庭と仕事という役割を総合して見た際に、周囲の人から助けられながらも、与えられた役割を果たしてきたという自信が精神的な安定を生んでいた。それによって、これからは自分という個人を大切にし、人の役に立ちたいと考えていた。就労している中高年女性が加齢に適応していくためには、加齢に伴う心身の変化に関する情報の獲得や、ロールモデルとなる存在が重要であることが示唆された。The purpose of this study was to determine the adjustment to aging among working middle-aged females. The subjects were five females aged 56-70 who were currently employed without major health problems, and semi-structured interviews were conducted. As the result, Middle-aged females in employment were anxious about their future. However, by taking an objective view of their physical changes, and while listening to people around them, they tried to maintain a mentally and physically stable condition by trying to accommodate their physical condition. Further, in terms of their overall roles at home and at work, they seemed to be confident that they had fulfilled their assigned roles with the help of the people around them. This brought them a sense of mental stability, leading them to a wish to be helpful to others while valuing themselves as individuals. The results suggest that in order for working middle-aged females to adapt to aging, it is important for them to acquire information about the physical and mental changes associated with aging and to have role models.departmental bulletin pape
Experiences and Learning Outcomes from On-Campus Virtual Ward Practicum in Basic Nursing
研究目的は、基礎看護学臨地実習で実施した学内仮想病棟実習から得られた学生の経験と学習成果について明らかにし、学内実習方法を構築するための示唆を得ることである。仮想病棟を設定した学内実習を経験した学生3名に対し、フォーカスグループインタビューを実施し、質的帰納的に分析した。学内実習を経験した学生の語りから65コード、21サブカテゴリ―、9カテゴリーが抽出された。【試行錯誤しながらコミュニケーションを繰り返すうちに情報収集のコツを掴む】経験をし、患者の言動から個別性を汲み取り、【思いを巡らせながら患者の言動に注目して個別性を捉える】ことなどが学習成果として得られていた。一方で、【援助の中に個別性を取り入れる難しさ】があり、【慣れた環境で伸び伸びと実習できた安心感と緊張感の乏しさ】を感じていた。リアリティをもった学内実習プログラムの作成により基礎実習において達成が必要な能力はある程度獲得できるものの、さらなる工夫の必要性が示唆された。The aim of this study was to understand the experiences and learning outcomes from the on-campus virtual ward practicum conducted in basic nursing field practice and to obtain suggestions for constructing on- campus practicum methods. Focus group interviews were conducted with three students who had experienced an on-campus practicum in a virtual ward setting, and their narratives were analyzed qualitatively and inductively. We extracted 65 codes, 21 subcategories, and 9 categories from the narratives of the students who had completed the on-campus practicum. The learning outcomes of the students were to gain experience in [developing a knack for information gathering by repeated communication through trial and error], understanding the individuality of patients from their words and actions, and [capturing the individuality of patients by paying attention to their words and actions while thinking about them]. In contrast, they also felt [difficulty in incorporating individuality in their assistance] and [a sense of security and lack of tension that allowed the students to stretch and practice in a familiar environment]. Although some skills required for basic practice can be acquired by creating a realistic on-campus practice program, the results indicated the need for further improvement.departmental bulletin pape
