By the diversity and breadth of his scientific studies he recalls the classical natural scientists of past centuries. Topics in the theory of trigonometric series, theory of measure and sets, studies in the theory of integration, approximation theory, constructive logic, topology and geometry, functional analysis, theory of superposition of functions and Hilbert’s 13th problem, cohomology theory, topics in classical mechanics, ergodic theory, theory of turbulence, dynamic systems, diffusion equations, foundation of the probability theory and Hilbert’s 6th problem, theory of stochastic processes (Markov, stationary, branching, diffusion, . . . ), limit theorems, mathematical statistics, theory of algorithms, information theory, applications in non-linear quantum mechanics, physics, mathematical geology, biology, genetics, social sciences, articles on the theory of poetry and the statistics of text and literature, papers on the history and methodology of mathematics and the teaching of mathematics in schools. In all these branches of science Kolmogorov obtained fundamentally important results which determined the state of many fields of 20th century mathematics and possible directions of their development. Kolmogorov was really the last encyclopedist in the Mathematics. Kolmogorov created a number of scientific schools, many of them headed by his pupils

    The paper summarizes contemporary methods and techniques for privacy preservation as some challenging issues are analyzed and presented. A bibliometric approach is utilized in order for the "big picture" to be outlined, showing current research status and trending topics. The bibliographic data are taken from scientific database Scopus and processed through specialized software. In addition, a detailed review is also performed to classify problems and solutions in the area of privacy preservation. Special attention is given to possibilities for data privacy protection in intelligent eLearning environments. The role of machine learning for creating more secure data models is pointed out. A conceptual model, summarizing the findings, is proposed.This research is supported by the Bulgarian FNI fund through the project “Modeling and Research of Intelligent Educational Systems and Sensor Networks (ISOSeM)”, contract КП-06-Н47/4 from 26.11.2020

    The heart rate is individual for each person and it is influenced by various factors that lead to its increase or decrease. Good cardiac function is a prerequisite for a healthy life, and heart rate variability (HRV) analysis is a powerful tool for assessing the autonomic nervous system (ANS), in which the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems interact to regulate cardiac function of the vascular system. A high HRV is associated with a good state of health, while a low HRV is associated not only with pathological conditions in the activity of the cardiovascular system, but also with a number of other factors, such as: overweight, type 2 diabetes, stress and others. Tracking HRV over time and matching segments of data related to specific activities or life events can provide unique information about a person's physical and psychological health. On the basis of the obtained results, it can be concluded that the indices of HRV can be used as non-specific indicators of the impact of factors of a different nature on the human body.Научното изследване е проведено като част от проекта „Изследване на приложението на нови математически методи за анализ на кардиологични данни“ № КП-06-Н22/5 от 07.12.2018 г., финансиран от Фонд „Научни Изследвания“

    Need for Postdigitalization in (South) Africa: Role(s) of Education Leaders

    Considering the debate on preference between digitalization and postdigitalization, this study which is a concept note is undertaken. This is in attempt to explore the roles of education leaders if postdigitalization is to be preferred and promoted. Digitalization which is characterised by high technology use is regarded as tool for repair and solution to prevailing challenges such as inequality, unemployment, poverty, among others tends not to be experienced optimally as envisaged. Meanwhile, one of its major drivers remains the education sector. Conversely, the concept of Ubuntu which is used to express brotherhood remains a major phenomenon in the African continent. Thus, the need to consider postdigitalization as a remedy towards harnessing some of the benefits of digitalization together with those of Ubuntu. This is majorly because in postdigitalization more of the focus remains on humans which is the case with Ubuntu compared to digitalization which considers technology more than people.The study is limited to a concept note, hence, only relevant literature were reviewed, analysed and presented. It is therefore suggested that a similar study be conducted using qualitative and/or quantitative or mixed method approach where data would be collected from participants. This would aid the retrieval of in-depth information on the subject and possibly, generalization of the results

    The article presents a demonstration software program for evaluating three types of cardiac signals. Mathematical methods for analyzing electrocardiographic, photoplethysmographic and Holter signals are considered. The different cardio signals are analyzed from the presented information system and conclusions are drawn regarding their practical use.
