The effects of an AI feedback coach on students’ peer feedback quality, composition, and feedback experience
This study examines the integration of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) feedback coach in a peer feedback activity. Participants provided peers with feedback on their assignments. While providing feedback, they either received real-time adaptive AI coaching (intervention group) or not (control group). Feedback comments from participants were analyzed concerning content, text complexity, and sentiment. Survey responses were coded for sentiment and themes. Results show adverse effects of the AI feedback coach. Intervention group participants’ feedback included fewer reflective questions and adhered less to criteria. They provided shorter, more complex feedback. Students indicated mixed views on the AI feedback coach, with some finding it helpful and others distracting. A notable subset of students stated overreliance on the AI coach, prioritizing its validation over their own judgment. Results suggest that AI tools need thoughtful integration, possibly with additional scaffolding to counteract overreliance and avoid negative impact on peer feedback quality and feedback experience. This study examines the integration of an Artificial Intelligence (AI) feedback coach in a peer feedback activity. Intensive parenting and elite sports children: - an ethnographic study of concerted cultivation in two Danish elite football clubs

With a term from Annette Lareau, we examine the corporation between parents and football professionals as a special kind of concerted cultivation. The dual career literature advocates that talent environments provide parallel developmental tracks that allow athletes to become whole sportspeople. However, the analysis shows that parents and clubs only manage to concert the cultivation of the young boys in terms of the sporting ambition and the formal participation in a youth education, whereas the task of developing whole sportspeople rests solely on the parents. Based on the study, we argue that there is a need to evaluate the way dual careers are done in practice and to consider how to incorporate parents’ perspectives on talent development to accomplish the aim of dual career policies.

Corruption and environmental deterioration in Mexico
The presence of corruption in Mexico is a constant phenomenon that affects different areas from human rights, business opportunities, access to public health care, education, social inequality and social mobility, freedom of expression until environment and natural resources. In this sense, this text aims to shine a light on the Mexican corruption and its impact on the abuses against natural resources and environmental degradation: bribes, illegal permits, threats to journalists and environmental advocates, collusion, smuggling, cronyism, systemic influence peddling are some of the most common crimes. The present text is guided by the assumption that the environmental degradation in Mexico is accelerated due to corruption. Thus, this article is divided in two parties. The first one considers the main arguments about the correlation between corruption and environment degradation. The second one presents the consequences of Mexican political corruption and its influence in environment deteriorating. Finally, some comments are offered to wrap up the discussion, which shows the challenges to reduce the impacts of corruption into degradation of the environment. Embodied Coloniality: Affective experiences of Muslim immigrant women living in Norway
This comprehensive study examines the lived experiences of Muslim immigrant women in Norway, focusing mainly on the colonial wounds as a manifestation of the enduring impact of coloniality on daily lives. The research illuminates the profound influence of colonial legacies on social structures, cultural norms, and power dynamics through meticulous examination and analysis of in-depth interviews. The participants’ narratives, including Amal, Ayse, and Zahra, provide crucial insights into the challenges of marginalization, dehumanization, and the struggle to forge a coherent sense of self within a society shaped by colonial structures. This study underscores the normalization of dehumanization and sheds light on the constraints imposed by the majority society, resulting in feelings of non-relationality, suffocation, survival, resignation, and a loss of futurity. By addressing the intersection of coloniality, racism, and the lived experiences of Muslim minority women, this research offers valuable contributions to the academic discourse on decolonial feminist studies of affect, providing a nuanced understanding of the complex dynamics at play in contemporary Norway. This comprehensive study examines the lived experiences of Muslim immigrant women in Norway, focusing mainly on the colonial wounds as a manifestation of the enduring impact of coloniality on daily lives.
