U ovom članku ćemo predstaviti rezultate faze prikupljanja podataka u okviru Francuskog jezika za akademske namene. Get PDF
Reliability prediction is an upcoming method used in most industries today to correctly estimate and predict each component’s life in a day-to-day application. This field has proven extremely helpful in evolving various methods such as preventive maintenance and non-destructive testing for various machinery and its parts. In this study, mild steel workpieces are welded together according to three parameters: weld current, weld speed, and weld angle. These parameters are varied based on the Taguchi L27 orthogonal array design of experiments (DOE) to conduct the experiments. The workpieces are then subjected to tensile testing to determine the tensile strength values as well as the failure time. The main objective of this research is to develop a comprehensive, methodical framework to assess the reliability and failure time of welded joints of mild steel material. According to the experimental values, artificial neural network (ANN) and fuzzy logic (FL) models are developed to predict reliability percentage error and failure time. Based on the findings and in the case of FL implementation, the percentage deviation between the experimental and predicted values is vast, while it is calculated small with the use of ANN as a more accurate approach. A sample is also found to have an experimental reliability of 89.5%, the highest among the L27 DOE array wherein the optimum weld strength can be achieved by incorporating 100 A weld current, 55º weld angle, and 1.17mm/s of weld speed, respectively

    Get PDF
Environmental noise management is a critical aspect of public health policy, particularly within the European Union, which established Directive 2002/49/EC to standardize noise assessment and mitigation efforts across member states. Serbia has integrated the Directive's provisions through its Law on Environmental Noise Protection and accompanying by-laws. This paper presents the strategic noise mapping process for Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport, Serbia's largest international airport, marking a significant milestone as it is the first time a strategic noise map is being developed for a major airport in Serbia. The legal framework, methodology, and results of this mapping process are discussed in detail. Utilizing the CNOSSOS-EU:2015 method and the Aviation Environmental Design Tool (AEDT) for acoustic calculations, the study defines the affected areas, noise indicators, and population exposure based on 2023 air traffic data. The results indicate that the Lden noise levels exceeding 55 dB impacted 24,223 residents, while the Lnight noise levels exceeding 50 dB affected 7,493 residents. The analysis also includes the estimated number of dwellings, schools, hospitals, and people affected by different noise levels, providing necessary data for developing action plans aimed at mitigating noise pollution. Additionally, the study examines the potential health impacts, including population annoyance and sleep disturbance, using dose-effect relationships as defined by the European Commission. The results underline the importance of ongoing noise monitoring and the need for timely revisions of strategic noise maps and action plans to ensure compliance with both national and EU regulations. This research contributes to the broader effort of environmental noise management, offering insights into the methodologies and challenges of strategic noise mapping for airports in Serbia

URBANE-RURALNE RAZLIKE U GRUBOJ MOTORIČKOJ KOORDINACIJI KOD OSMOGODIŠNJE DECE

    No full text
The aim of this study is to examine the differences in gross motor coordination between primary schoolchildren living in urban and rural areas. The study sample consisted of 120 healthy 8-year old children, equally divided into two groups based on their area of residence: 60 urban children (22 girls) and 60 rural children (20 girls). The urban group comprised children from schools in the city, while the rural group included children from schools in nearby villages. The results indicate no significant differences between urban and rural children in all tested motor coordination tasks and total motor coordination (p > 0.05). Although urban children showed slightly better results, these findings suggest that the geographical environment, while a contributing factor, may not be the sole determinant of children's motor coordination abilities. Further studies with larger and more diverse samples, as well as a deeper exploration of environmental and socio-cultural factors, are necessary to draw more definitive conclusions.

    Get PDF
Interculturality represents an important aspect of upbringing and education, contributing to the development of social sensitivity, an understanding of diversity and the creation of a positive cultural identity. The paper emphasizes the role of educators and teachers in the implementation of intercultural learning, as well as the importance of a deeper understanding of cultural dynamics and the application of appropriate methods during the upbringing and education of children. Special attention is given to the selection of literary texts that suit the age and interests of preschool and lower primary school children, as well as their significance for the educational process.Examples for preschool-age children include the works of Ljubivoje Ršumović: The Story of Michelangelo, The Cat and The Lovely Veronicas, as well as, the poem We Went to Africa, Grimms' fairy tales such as Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, Cinderell and The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling. These provide fundamental lessons on respecting diversity and cultural differences through easily comprehensible narratives. For younger primary school students, valuable texts include the collection of Eskimo fairytales, The Boy Who Wanted to Be a Rooster by Yuri Druzhkov, The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen and stories by Jasminka Petrović such as Two Pots, Four Lids and Two Water Lilies Around a Stump. With proper methodological interpretation, these examples can greatly enhance the development of students' intercultural competencies, teaching them important values such as acceptance, respect and understanding of diversity, which are essential for developing empathy and openness toward the world around them

ON CURVATURE TENSORS OBTAINED BY TWO NON-SYMMETRIC LINEAR CONNECTIONS

n the cited papers [1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14], curvature tensors are considered by polylinear mappings, using non-symmetric connections. In the rest of the works from the References, the curvature tensors are obtained by help of Riccy-type identities in local coordinates. In this paper, the problem is considered more generally using polylinear mappings, after which eight curvature tensor fields are obtained. Further, it is proved that among these fields, five of them are independent, while the rest are linear combinations of the cited five field

ENHANCING SUPPORT VECTOR MACHINE PERFORMANCE IN FORECASTING THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES INVOLVED IN TRAFFIC CRASHES VIA METAHEURISTIC OPTIMIZATION ALGORITHMS

    Get PDF
Traffic accidents cause huge financial, human, and emotional losses every year. With increased urbanization and population growth, safety problems are also increasing. This study develops a novel approach by integrating Support Vector Machine (SVM) with advanced meta-heuristic algorithms to build a classification model of the number of vehicles involved in a traffic accident and the ranking of factors contributing to the accident, which is essential for improving transportation safety management. For this purpose, nine factors contributing to impacting road safe transport in urban areas of Cosenza, southern Italy, are assessed and ranked through the application of a stochastic approach. These features were determined using machine learning techniques, including SVM, combined with some metaheuristic optimization methods involving the Cuckoo Search Algorithm (CSA), Multi-verse Optimizer (MVO), and Whale Optimization Algorithm (WOA). With the SVM-WOA algorithm offering a great accuracy value, the results reveal that these approaches are successful in detecting elements influencing traffic safety management in road transportation

The paper presented here analyzes two locations for urban interventions according to the principles of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), with the focus on allowing young children and their caregivers to claim public space for their needs and to make these spaces more sustainable for the future urban redevelopment of the city areas that lack basic good health and well-being attributes. The focus is on developing areas with insufficient urban parks and infrastructure for children and caregivers where there is a lack of identity with the public spaces. By analyzing questionnaires and interviewing caregivers and children, we identified the issues and methodology for solving problems according to the mentioned goals. The results indicate that models to be applied to the case studies’ locations involve a necessity of Public Private Partnership of the city with local brands and companies, to achieve sustainable physical and social development. The greatest potential for development of the area according to the interviews’ results is in terms of shading and passive design principles. The outcome indicates a serious lack of green spaces in the new plans for the city and inadequate infrastructure for small children in the city. It also designates Čair and the Fortress for the application in terms of urban redevelopment as a tool for making the area a pilot incubator for energy-conscious space and safer neighborhoods for children and caregivers. This indirectly produces high-quality urban areas with children and value of the spaces presented in the paper and those surrounding them in mind.

    Get PDF
This paper presents the new concept of Medicine Vending Machine (MVM), called Personalized Medicine Vending Machines (PMVM), motivated by the need to increase social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The conceptual model, the scenarios of using PMVM, and all the necessary preconditions are provided. This paper proposes modifying the existing MVM concept, which can provide better social distancing in times of pandemics and epidemics, emphasizing personalization and picking up prescribed therapy. The medical information system MEDIS.NET has been used as a keystone in the development of PMVM. Pharmacies and patients use prescription data stored in patient electronic health records in MEDIS.NET to provide all conditions needed for the operation of PMVM. Real data from the Pharmacy Institution Nis and Health Center Nis are used to define the scenarios for the use of PMVM. The proposed PMVM would be a new service for smart cities that can contribute to the significant increase of the efficiency of smart cities during the combat against COVID-19 and any similar pandemics in the future

LOAD PATH VISUALIZATION USING U* INDEX AND PRINCIPAL LOAD PATH DETERMINATION IN THIN-WALLED STRUCTURES

    Get PDF
U* index is used to express the load transfer inside a structure from a global perspective. Typically, a load path is defined as the ridgeline of the U* contours. However, it is cumbersome to directly locate the load paths by numerical approaches. This paper presents a streamline method with the fourth-order Runge-Kutta algorithm to visualize the load paths in thin-walled structures. The load paths can be consistently plotted on the surfaces of two-dimensional plates or three-dimensional shells by path projection. A new concept of principal load path is also introduced by evaluating the importance of load paths using statistical means. The principal load path is conceived as the “spine” of the structure that transfers the greatest internal force. A case study of a simplified vehicle body is presented. It is found that the structural stiffness can be greatly improved by reinforcing the set of principal load paths, which gives engineers an important insight into the development of weight-efficient structures
